This is for the FS11 and Julie-reneejul1
is our inspiration artist for this week. Here is a link to Julie's darling baby card Precious Baby by reneejul1 at Splitcoaststampers. I loved her DP as the main layer for her card and the scalloped border long the bottom. I also was so intrigued with her double framed punch and that she cut one layer with her kraft knife to screate the double. Uh.....after messing up the first one and trying again and using another piece of DP and messing up that one as well...I decided my best bet was to pull out the old paper tool and to distress the frame. I could not get the wonderful, perfect cut that Julie accomplished. Hat's off to you Julie. I just got this All God's Children set and love all the adorable little scenes. I had to do the little girl and cat as I think it is so sweet. The sentiment fit perfectly on the smaller oval punch. I stamped the images with Stazon and watercolored with reinkers and watercolor brushes. I sponged the ground area with old olive and then filled it in with my Watercolor Minis fern stamp. I painted in several stems with my brush and old olive and then painted in tiny little tulip heads just to add some sweetness to the scene. I sponged in the background of the scene with saffron to brighten it up and make it pop. There is lots going on on this layout but I couldn't resist adding a bow on the bottom of the scene. Great inspiration, Julie. I love your gallery.
