Made these for my DS first grade class. Totally and utterly cased from txtornadoinaz who did the same with halloween pencils. thanks for the inspiration. I received an email asking for measurements on this, so here goes with my numbers and directions:
1. cardstock piece 1 3/8" x 4 1/4"
2. score at 1 3/4", 2" and 3 3/4"
3. so now you have a 1 3/4" section, next a 1/4" section, next a 1 3/4" section and a 1/2" section at the end
4. punch a hole in the center of the 1/4" section for the pencil to go through, I used a regular paper hole punch. You want the hole a tiny bit smaller than the pencil so it is snug and won't fall through
5. use the small tag punch for the tags, tape the tags on the two 1 3/4" sections
6. put the pencil through the hole
7. I used a glue dot on the 1/2" section to tape the top securely, then use the tag corner punch to punch the top corners or use scissors to cut the corners.
