I recently read some posts where some of you are sick of this paper, but since I stuck mine back to use for a non-traditional Valentine's creation it's still new to me. I made this coaster box for my niece. Did I mention how much fun these coasters are??
*happy dance*
The Crop-a-dile works no nicely to make the holes. You can punch two coasters at a time, which made it go faster. Tying all those little ribbon knots was the most time consuming and, quite frankly, a PAIN. *Grrrr.... I'm not patient* I plan on lacing the entire side and just having one knot on each corner on my next one.
I used the new cutter from SU and crimper to make the paper strips inside. That cutter works nicely for that but you end up with some waste because you can only trim so far and then your fingers start getting in the way....

This turned out simply fabulous! It really has a bit of fun personality to it, and I bet your neice adored it! She's a lucky girl to have a cool Aunt like you. I love that you just used thin and crimped strips of paper for the "filling"! Great idea! I so wanna do one now!
