This was the last card I designed for January's resistance techniques class (Resistance is futile...buy more stamps to get a Sell-A-Bration set!) and the one I'm least pleased with. I've done the Joseph's Coat technique before, but I just couldn't seem to get it to work for me this time. I had to throw away two samples before I came up with one that I could live with.
My hints: make sure the spectrum pad ink is VERY DRY before moving on to embossing on top of it. Go eat a sandwich, write some emails, or something. And the stamps with real little areas inside (like the starburst inside the circle, it's got tiny areas that don't get stamped) don't work as well for this technique as the simpler designs. And the smallest stamps like to skid on glossy cardstock. And Puffs Plus Kleenex with lotion are not the ideal tissues to use to wipe off the black ink from the embossing powder...but now my card front is all lotion-y! Comedy of errors after midnight just isn't funny anymore. Oh well, it's done.
