Case'd the idea from CookieStamper. Making the mask from Word by Word was time consuming, but well worth the results. Tried the layout using my favorite stamp set and colors I don't normally use.

Fabulous! Thought I had it figured out until I looked at it longer and now I just don't know. I know it took forever but at least you only have to cut a mask once in a long time if you take care of it.

Thanks for all the nice comments. I took this technique from CookieStamper, and here are her directions:
To create the mask, stamp the BG on the acetate sheet w/Staz On and let dry (about 10-15 minutes). Using a craft knife, cut the words out, leaving the area between the words as the mask. Using a marker, stamp the BG using the "omitting" technique on the lines and one word you want (you don't need a word). Place the mask over the outlines and tape down. Then stamp/sponge your colors working light to dark. I learned through trial and errror to remove the cardstock and wipe the acetate clean between colors to prevent smudging.
