I covered a white panel with foil, then brushed it entirely with Gesso. When dry, I embossed the magnolia in black/gold, then applied green, butterscotch, and red inks with alcohol. I wiped the edges to keep the boldest colours within the flower. Deliberately left the rough edges, and just stamped the sentiment on a corner.

I remember this giant blossom. You have to click onto the thumbnail to really appreciate the wonderful texture you created with the gesso. This is really a cool technique.
