I'm still learning so I dont even know what I have for supplies.
Printed paper from Jo'Ann, a die cut and a Birthday stamp. The colors on the card are printed paper. With the blue green contrast and the white marks in the sky, the scene reminds me of coming across an animal at night in the woods.
In this case, you come out of the forest into a clearing. You are lucky enough to see a giant buck silhouetted against the starry night sky. He knows something is there, but he can't see you. He stands alert, looking in your direction for endless seconds before turning and running away.
oh yeah... and its your birthday lol. Or in this case, it is Nick's 79th Birthday. Posting from May 2nd Teapot Challenge Forums at Splitcoaststampers

Welcome to the party. I love this outdoor scene. The paper you chose is perfect and the buck is wonderfully done. I'm a city dweller but it isn't unusual to have deer looking in my windows in the early morning. Lots of does and fawns but occasionally a nice buck too. They are beautiful creatures even though my flowers and hedges would be better off without them.

Welcome! You're officially a Teapotter now! This is a wonderful card for Nick who likes nature. Great layout. i love seeing deer when I'm out for a walk by the Mississippi River...I wish they wouldn't run off so quickly.

Yay Brian, I'm so glad you decided to join us here for the weekly Tea Party. And you started off with a bang with this great card for Nick. I love your papers from JoAnne and you already know I am green with envy over your dies. This is another great one. As I said before -- you do nature beautifully. And, I love your narrative. I could picture myself right there in the woods watching this gorgeous creature. I know from past remarks by MaryJo (aka Icela 52) how much Nick loves the outdoors so I am sure he will love this card. Fabulous card.

That die-cut is awesome, lots of detail, and perfect for an outdoor-themed card! Your story describing the scene is great!
