Hello Friends! I'm the challenge hostess this week and we are working with a theme of pairs or doubles. For my card today, I have a pair of Queens (cards & girls) and then a pair of hearts beside my sentiment.
This card is inspired by my daughter and one of her best friends. I colored their hair accordingly. It seems to be a teen thing to call each other Queens, thus the pair of playing cards. I die cut the center out of the cards, wrapped some washi tape around the edges and then backed it with some subtle patterned paper. Next, I inserted my little gals into the cards. Oh and I also colored the back of the patterned paper that I die cut for their skirts.
I stamped my sentiment on my base layer and then the hearts. Next I embossed the whole layer with an impression plate for a subtle design.
Thanks for looking!

I love, love, love the use of these cards. I was unaware of the phrase of calling someone a queen. I will have to ask my boy if he has heard that phrase.
I love that you used actual playing cards too. I have a stack of cards in my tote that I am slowly trying to come up with fun cards to make to use them up. This gives me some inspiration.

Such a fun and unique card! I love the playing cards that you can change up with different images; first I've seen any of these. Perfect for your daughter and her friend : )

Aren't those girls fun!! I love your paper piecing, and the hearts you added by the sentiment!
