I made two cards using this sketch design. This is my second card.
I don't have any octagon shapes, so I used hexagons. I have two different sized punches, so I punched 2 shapes in the larger size and 3 shapes in the smaller size.
I decided to make a bee themed card since hexagons always make me think of bees. All of the paper used is from the same collection (even the solid pink color), so they coordinate perfectly together.
The two bees and the flower jar were punched from patterned paper, so there are no stamped images or coloring on this card. Just the sentiment is stamped, making use of the one solid colored shape. I used the same solid pink paper for the base layer of the card, for a layer behind the two larger shapes (I cut these by hand), and for the solid shape.
After having arranged the shapes on the first card, it was a little easier and quicker to assemble the grouping for this card. The cluster is different than the first card, and I am also pleased with how this one came out.
As a final touch this time, I added a jewel to three of the shapes for some extra interest and sparkle.
