Thank you, Barbara, for the Red, White and Blue theme for today. For dessert we can make it patriotic.
I chose to not make it exactly patriotic and here is why.
One of my best friends has a birthday on July 4th and I had intended to create a card for her in these colors because of the holiday but I wanted it also to be special just for her birthday. With all the activity surrounding the 4th most people are thinking about fireworks, barbecues and party time. My friend, Gail, kind of gets forgotten. And, I must add that she served in the Navy and is very patriotic.

Beautiful pansies. Love the embossing and die-cut piece. Lovely birthday card. I think like you do, someone who has a birthday on a holiday needs a card made just for them. You did a wonderful job using the colors without the patriotic look and for good reason. We appreciate your friend's service!

Well, lucky Gail, to receive such a beautiful card. I know how she feels, as my son's birthday is New Year's Eve. (He always says everyone celebrates his birthday, and Gail could say the same thing!) Anyway, this card is lovely, feminine and patriotic all at the same time. Please thank Gail for me for her service to our country.

Very pretty. My niece celebrates her birthday on the 4th of July also. She is an Army brat, married to an Airman. So I keep her cards also R,W, & B too. These pansies are so pretty. Should've gotten this set so I could case this.

Your card is absolutely beautiful! I'm loving the Pansy dies, and your amazing coloring of them. Great use of white space and the intricate die cut to background the sentiment. Your born on the 4th of July friend is so blessed to have such a beautiful card on the way!
