Sallie, this is breathtaking. You do such a spectacular job on watercoloring. I have never been to Ireland, but have some distant relatives who live there. You need to frame this and place on your wall. Gorgeous.

This is a painting I had to look at for some time to catch the different layers and illusions off in the distance of your scene. Possibly because of my skewed vision, this tends to border on abstract which I find quite fun as each time I return I see something different.

That is absolutely fabulous, Sallie - and definitely very Irish. Right down to the look of a fine "moist" day .
My aunt's cottage used to be thatched, but insurance premiums are much higher because it's a fire risk, so long ago she had it tiled.
