For this week's WCW I enjoyed painting the leaves. The hard part was putting them all together on a branch. In the end, I didn't like my painting enough to just let it be. Story of my life, right? I can never bring myself to just leave it alone and let it shine. You have to admit, though, it makes a great backdrop for this bible verse. I used SC249 and felt the need to layer each layer on black. So when I saw Polly's "Lots of Layers" challenge this morning, I figured I'd add this card to it.

Great job on the compound strokes. They are very well done and could have taken center stage on your card. They look great as a background too. Love how vibrant the liquid watercolors are. Terrific card. Thanks for playing in the challenge this week.

Except that they are much brighter green, your leaves remind me of the eucalyptus tree we had in the garden when I was growing up - the only tree my brother and I couldn't climb. Black matting always adds real definition and oomph - great with the green leaves.

I think you did a very good job on the leaves. The stems going from the branch look perfect, also. Love the verse.
