Color Challenge hosted by Jeannie with the dessert option of Too Cute to Spook (Halloween).
Usually I do not need any Halloween cards, but I could not resist this time. Recently I acquired the retired Tag Time set and it has this adorable witch with a puny sentiment "Best Witches". She was so perfect for dessert & the challenge colors. I heat embossed the image with pun and then watercolored with refill ink.
My SCS Bakers Dozen swap partner, Diane sent me an interactive card like this one; I thought the design would be bewitching for this image and theme. When the black ribbon tab is pulled to the right, the front square flap opens to the left to reveal a small square with a sentiment (or whatever you choose). On my card, I have Happy Halloween on the inside panel.
Diane referred me to a YouTube video by Dawn Griffith that explains the card fold technique nicely called Pull Tab Flap card. It was so fun to make that I made two. One card will go to my swap partner and the other one will be given out on Halloween night. The first trick-or-treater dressed as a "too cute to spook witch" will get a card and a special candy bar.
I am looking forward to seeing all the creations with these fun colors and your creative ideas! TFL

This card just makes me smile...broadly. Love that cute witch with the punny sentiment; that it's a fun fold card with a surprise message and that you used that great striped paper as the bg. Fabulous card and that's going to be one lucky trick-or-treater.

Adorable card, Diane, and thank you for posting the info about the pull tab/tag mechanism. You know me and my love for special folds, so I'm on my way to watch the video! Your little witch is perfectly colored (green face!), and fits the tag perfectly, too!

What a fun card, Diane! And what a fun idea for handing out this card on Halloween night. Love the interactive fold and the dynamic look with the diagonal stripes. Great card!

What a clever way to use this cute little witch! Your stripes are the perfect way to accent these bright colors. Tag Time is really a great set - I loved it's versatility.

What a fun card Diane! The card just by itself is wonderful but the interactive element sends it over the top! I’m sure the too cute little trick-or-treater will love this.
