I sized the image for the sketch, then printed it onto a panel of vellum bristol paper. I used my Prismacolor pencils to color the image. I had found a tutorial online (with a color chart) for different skin tone color combos in Prismacolor pencils, so I referenced that for the kids' skin. I did the same for their hair, using a different tutorial.
For the suggested design at the top of the sketch, I used Kitsch Flamingo & the "Wonky Dots" stencil. I let that fade to white a little way down the panel.
The greeting strip is actually a leftover scrap from another card I'd done. I heat embossed the greeting with Navy powder. I cut the right end at an angle, & adhered it to my card panel. I glued on 3 colorful buttons, let those dry, and then stitched through them with white crochet twine. I matted the panel with teal, then added it to a white card base.
