Brenda gave us this wonderful video on painting tulips. The artist explains how to add details, but know when enough is enough. It really is a good lesson I need more practice doing. Sketched, painted the image. My middle tulip is a little too large. Had fun doing this, and know what not to do next time. Sorry this is so late...storms last night so no internet. Come play with us this week and paint some tulips.

Love how you added in the greenery which I also wanted to do but had no room - yes, when to stop is a learning process for sure. Such beautiful tulips Linda, and amazing detail.

So gorgeous, Linda. I love the addition of greenery and the color of your tulips is yummy. Great job sketching the leaves and blooms.

Wow! This is so beautiful Linda! I love your greenery! Isn't it interesting, I don't feel like the middle tulip is too large at all! Your painting is beautiful.

This is a beauty, Linda - The color makes me think of some tulips I saw many years ago - such a deep burgundy that they appeared almost black in the sunshine. I like the lovely bend in those leaves and the beautiful play of highlights and shadows over all the elements. Bonus points for all the extra greenery and even some ground cover.
