I kept the beach scene but reduced the size, making it into this scene which could be possibly be viewed through a porthole.
I sponged my scene with several distress inks and then added texture to the sand and water portions with the same inks using stamps from Timeless Texture. I inked the palm trees with SU markers and stamped.
I decided I wanted the wavy texture provided by the Swirly Scribble thinlit so I embossed it into the Island Indigo cs repeatedly using the plumber's gasket so it would impress the texture, not cut the paper.
I cut a small frame from the Soft Suede, added the strip of ribbon, popped up the beach view, and called it done. I'll add a sentiment when I know for what occasion I'm using it.
Congratulations, Marianne, enjoy your week!
Thanks for looking!

Your sponging is heavenly and the colors really shout summer at the beach! This is really pretty!

I was thinking about casing that same card. Love yours and wow on the background using the gasket! I was thinking porthole before I saw what you wrote. Great card!

Wonderful case and fabulous beach scene. Love the layout with the circles and the burlap strip. The wavy embossing looks great. Terrific techniques and colors! Well done.

Catherine..Awesome card and textures. I don’t know what plumbers gasket is but your card looks great. I especially like your scene and as though looking out of a porthole..very creative. TFS. Happy day
