It's my brother's birthday tomorrow. Look at me making his card a day early. I thought today's challenge would make a fun golf ball style background. But I'm not sure I chose the best inks. I like the look of the background, but I feel like I could've made a better example of the technique for the challenge. My brother hates when people use the term "sub par" to describe something bad, because obviously sub par is much better than above par. That's why I had to use this stamp for his birthday card. I considered just leaving the sentiment as is to irk him. But I thought it would be more fun to correct it for him. Here's to a birthday that is way below par!

I can definitely see the shadow on the golf balls, Jen! What a perfect background for a golf enthusiast and a wonderful birthday card for your brother, who I'm sure will love how you personalized it! Thanks so much for joining the challenge today!

Yep, I think you got a great background for a golf-themed card. Funny, I'm usually picky about words and their meanings but I wouldn't have thought about that one. Probably because I switch off when people (DH's family ) start rabbiting on about golf. I mean, I do know a birdie, an eagle and albatross, but I still wouldn't have picked up on this. It's a lovely stamp, I like the slight textured effect it has

Perfect card for a golfer. Whenever I use "Hope your birthday is above par" on a card, my hubby says "you know that's not a good thing in golf". So wonderful alteration on the sentiment. Love the small golf course scene. Cool stamp. Fun card for your brother!
