It's been a very sad week and this tribute to our dog is timely. Regenleif, our Rottweiler, had a brain tumor that slowly caused her to leave us on Sep 9. This dog was the sweetest, cutest, most protective dog ever. My daughter got her in Lincoln, England when she was there to get her masters in archaeology at The University of Sheffield. This photo of a rottie pup inspired me to make this card for my daughter.
Yes, my daughter really does have blue hair. Regenleif is wearing her sky blue collar with yellow pineapples, her summer collar.
When she first brought Regenleif home my husband and I were wary of the breed and her size, but in the 11 years she lived with us we grew to love her more than any other pet we've owned.
We miss you and love you.

I just saw that stamp at Ellen Hutsons web shop just yesterday - it's by Penny Black, called Gentle Thoughts - I almost purchased it - what a beautiful job you did coloring this and personalizing the colors for your daughter and her dog - it's SO awful loosing a pet - pets are total love - and so missed when they are gone - Regenlief knew he had a loving family and wonderful life I'm sure!
