Oh, is this ever a fun technique! I could do this all day!! :-) Thanks, Kelly (sunstamper) for your creative VSN challenge, Old Timey Flowers, to use the Vintage Watercolor Tutorial to create an image for our card!
Stamped the apple branch from the CTMH set onto the smooth side of the watercolor paper with Distress vintage photo, & part of the image in the corner. Followed the tutorial directions, using a paint brush & water (I find that easier to control than a water brush, personal preference!) to bring out the ink. Used the brush directly on the watercolor pencils to add shading.
Randomly stamped the script stamp & a couple of stamps from the Butterfly Basics set in vintage photo & old paper around the main images, & applied water to those also. Flicked some color from the brown & green watercolor pencils onto the image with the paintbrush. Also flicked some rose gold paint from the paint set onto the image, with the paintbrush.
Stamped the sentiment onto a scrap strip of (I think) Bazzill Natural CS, & trimmed the ends at an angle. Cut a strip of the red CS & ran it thru the EF. Cut the ends at an angle.
Sponged all the edges with vintage photo ink, except the sentiment strip which was sponged with Old Paper. Adhered the sentiment to the embossed strip, offset, & popped it up on the card front with dimensional tape.
TFL!

Your vintage watercolor card is really gorgeous Liz. This apple looks so luscious hanging from the branch. I also love the additional stamping you did here too. This is another technique you took and ran with my friend. ~Karen.
