Purple has been my favorite color - forever, so this Lavender Fields Tapestry spoke to my heart.
I found this cool piece of DSP that had a similar design to the tapestry and decided to see if I could incorporate that to a Christmas theme. I die cut a Nativity and realized by blind luck that my bg had a "glow" right where the manger was. Bad luck for me when I glued it to the DSP I ended up with an orange streak across the front of my nativity. Now the smart thing would have been to cut a second piece and glue it over the original but since my mind was still half asleep, I salvaged it by painting several layers of gesso over the smear . . .and that actually worked pretty good! I colored my star with a golden yellow marker and inset. I finished with an old SU sentiment inked with Frost white and embossed with Snow White Powder.

Love, love this pretty scene, Linda. And, your background is so like your tapestry inspiration. Good save....hate that glow was ruined but it really turned out to be a beautiful card.

What a beautiful bg you have created here, Linda. Fab for the die cut Nativity!
