Monday's technique challenge has us using paper towel as a tool. Today's color challenge is to use Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green, and Gold with a dessert of stars.
I started out by sponging green ink through a stencil onto glossy photo paper with a makeup brush and then die cut the trees from the panel. I included the negative portion to give you an idea what the stenciling looked like, I kind of hated to cut into it. I stamped the stars (using gold ink) from the Magical Day set about where the treetops would rest. Don't look too closely, they are wonky because I didn't pay attention to the direction of my stamping. I added red nuvo drops to the branches. I stamped the sentiment in gold and then adhered the trees. Lastly, I used a ripped paper towel as a mask to apply green ink to the ground area.

Beautiful use of the colors. Fabulous combination of the challenges. Great job with the technique. Love the trees, so artsy & unique. The sentiment in gold stands out nicely. TFS
