I love these vintage gals in their row boat. I had a good friend when I was in high school, both our families owned cottages on the same lake and we would go out in a row boat and fish with cane poles, bobbers and worms. Of course, we were actually fishing for good looking young men. Not successful but we had a very good time being silly. Not many fish caught either.
A rather simple card, painted the background with DOx inks after masking the girls, then colored their clothing with colored pencils. Stamped the waves on the bottom in the twilight and then decided to Zentangle some waves around the edge in black and blue.
I've enjoyed my time on Dawn's team; thanks for asking me.

so you! I love the zentangled waves and their 'outfits' are reversed. The background is fantastic. And a great story snagged in your memories!
Don't laugh, but I just ordered this stamp a few days ago! Now I'm gonna have fun bringing it to life. I still think I need that zentangling course...when is your next class?

Love everything about this card, Jean. The sentiment is wonderful - so heart-warming and sweet. When someone hears or reads these words they will feel so much love. The image is amazing - wish I had it! Cool zintangle too. This card is so you - I agree with Susan. Many hugz to you.

Oh, I used to catch boys with my fishing pole and my short shorts--hey, those girls could be me! I used to grab my fishing pole and walk down to the pond and catch grasshoppers in the field to use for bait. I didn't get a boat (canoe) until I was 24 or so. Anyway, this whole card is fabulous but those zentangle waves really caught my eye. Fab!

I love those vintage images too. You did such a beautiful job on your card, and I love that sentiment.
