| | Today's challenge - stamp a wreath using any small stamp. I pulled out an ancient stamp from SU Days Gone By set. I figured this would be an easier project using a stamp platform rather than a stamp-a-ma-jig so FIRST I removed the stamp from the wood block and re-mounted it on cling foam. I cut a 4 X 4 square of white cardstock and placed it in the stamp platform then inserted my stamp at the 12o'colock position with the stems positioned towards what would be the center of my wreath and stamped - turned the cardstock 1/4 turn to the right and stamped again continuing in this manner around the card. Repositioned my stamp into a blank space and stamped 4 more times rotating the cardstock 1/4 turn between each stamping. (A total of 8 stampings) I was quite amazed at the results and included a picture of the stamp I used! I was torn between leaving this just INK but in the end decided to add some color with prismacolor pencils. To finish, I used a Fiskars corner adorner on the square for a bit more pizzazz and die cut a sentiment from another scrap of white cardstock. |
