Since her card was a sketch challenge card, I did not follow her sketch, but kept her twine (not part of the sketch) and did add a flourish like she had (but not in the sketch way she did). I also added in a circle so I could use a little used part of this wonderful old set.
I tried coloring the image but didn't like it so I started over and did an Ink, Spray, Smash background instead. I think it worked much better.
Congrats for being the Featured Stamper, Liz, your gallery is full of jewels and I was inspired looking through it.
This is also for this week's Teaparty Challenge. I know we were supposed to have free running horses but this is my fave horse stamp. He runs around looking free when he is not saddled up.
This will be going off to Sandy and Dave who are artists currently home based and feeling a bit tied down.

Nancy, what a fantastic card inspired by Liz's beautiful card! I love the image, great coloring, and awesome verse. Nancy, I would venture a guess that the horse is running; running after the cow. You just captured a still shot of him! LOL

Nancy, Nancy, Nancy!!! This is just sooooo wonderful! The images, the twine, the background are all fantastic together! Sandy and Dave used to live in Texas for a couple of years and even had a couple of cows, so your card ties right into their history. So cool! Thanks for adding your contribution to their very healing tea party.

Fabulous western scene, Nancy! We were watching an episode of Texas Country Reporter & this reminds me of it so much. It was about an artist who became a Pastor & his art was a lot like this.

i love love love this vintage feel and the whole thing, really... it is so charming and they will feel the love when they get this card! ok, i am going to open up and reveal that i am unfamiliar with Ink, Spray, Smash technique. i keep seeing it referred to, but was too shy to say "what??". haha maybe you can direct me to a link? is it a Tim Holtz thing? i just can't place it and definitely haven't done it before. Thanks for not judging... hahha : ) have a great day Teresa
