I have been participating in the Make-A-Thing-A-Day February group on fb and I have been having a lot of fun working with my Gel prints. This started out as a very simple print where I had pulled just the paint from within my airplane stencil. I then used pencil and colored pencils to add definition and shading to my plane. I wanted a vintage look for the bg so added some coffee staining and spatter with both coffee mix and watered-down Gelatos. I coffee stained a map from a road atlas and traced my letters then fussy cut with an Exacto knife. I used the pilot's phonetic alphabet to spell my grandson's name. He's turning 1 next month and my daughter is doing a vintage plane theme. I added shading around the letters and used a black gel pen on the capital letters to emphasize his name. I also added some gel pen around the plane as well.
