I got my inspiration from this card that I found on Pinterest. I cut a panel of white cardstock to 4x5.25", and stamped the "Grunge Letters Background" on it with Soft Granite ink. I wanted something interesting, but subtle, and thought this stamp was perfect!
I stamped the bird from "Small Scribbly Birdies" & the greeting (from "Scribbly Birds") in Versafine on a piece of 140 lb. watercolor paper. I masked off the bird's body, and ink blended over the panel with Shabby Shutters to get an ombre effect. After I remove the mask, I painted the bird with my watercolors. I let that dry, then die cut the top of my panel with the largest "Crescent Tag Toppers" die. I rounded the bottom corners with my We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper, and adhered it to my stamped background panel. Finally, I mounted the card front to a white card base.
