This is for Jeanne's fun mixed media challenge. Sadly I didn't pay enough attention to the challenge requirement - all my brain registered was TIME.
Dinner time came to mind, so let's pretend that there is a clock behind her head and "Dinner's Ready" is a phrase.
Tranna enabled me to buy this hoot of an image. Usually I colour with pencils first and then do Copic highlights, this time around I did the reverse, however her skin is coloured with pencils.
Because this is just copy paper, you have to be extra careful not to get too close to the edge of the image, as Copics tend to bleed when they are the base colour.
Her hair was fun to do, I actually coloured it on the wrong side and let it soak through to the front, then I just added a bit more colour.
To make it a bit more mixed media I added distress ink stenciling and I used some with paint to fix up a dodgy floor tile.

Oh, sis! YOU are so dear and so funny! I love this gal, and I'm so glad you were enabled by Tranna! You've done her justice, and what a funny "thought" bubble you added. Hehe! I caught that missing apostrophe right away (such a horrible thing that I see all typos, etc., in books, billboards, etc....no fun when you want to read these days). Anyway, I love this card and really love your great checkerboard floor. Hugs and love, sis!! Always....

This is just too funny, Susie. You are so great at adding fun borders, and your floor tiles are perfection. The light pink pattern in the bg goes so well with the deep colors of her dress. Fabulous.
