For my Inspiration Challenge at Needlepoint.com, I was inspired by this wonderful scene: https://needlepoint.com/media/catalo...m/-/m-1600.jpg I found my inspiration under canvases and other animals. So many beautiful pieces of all kinds for inspiration.
I started my card by rubbing my Tim Holtz Distress Ink mimi pad in chipped sapphire over my complete panel to make it a night scene. I die cut the trees and a couple of the snowflakes. The other two snowflakes were punches. I stamped my buck's head on a piece of cardstock, colored with Copics and cut out with scissors. I only had the head for the buck so I just cut out a piece of cardstock for the body and colored it. I did the same thing for the scarf. I used a roll of paper I found at Hobby Lobby for the scarf. The last thing I did was splattering snow over the scene.
Hope you'll join in the challenge. I would love to see what you create.

What a gorgeous winter card this is Brenda. I am totally impressed that you added the buck's body yourself because I would never have known that otherwise, and I adore the scarf you added! Fun! Your nighttime sky is beautiful as are the gently fall snowflakes and frosty trees. This is going right into my favs! ~Karen.

That dark night sky really makes the deer and trees pop. Gorgeous, Brenda.
Thanks for a great inspiration site, makes me want to get back to cross stitching.
