Tomorrow is my friends' 10th wedding anniversary. So I've made them this card out of the thank you card that they sent me all those years ago. I just never could bring myself to throw out wedding invitations or thank you cards with photos on them. Good thing, because it's fun to send people anniversary cards made from their invitations or thank you cards.
For Toni's "Resist" challenge, I chose Crayon Rubbed Embossing because I haven't tried that one yet. It's very fun! But looking at the picture right now I wish that I had used a black crayon and I also wish that I had used a bigger piece of paper, knowing that I wouldn't do as good a job on the edges and being able to cut more of the edge off. Lessons learned! It will be better next time.
I used my ScanNCut to cut a cute frame for their photo and popped it up in front of the resist background and a ribbon and bow. I've gotten better at adding bows to my cards lately. I've given up on trying to just tie the bow on the project. I finally figured out to wrap the ribbon and tape it on the back and then tie a bow where I want it. Duh! That panel behind the photo is also cut from their thank you card. It's a black and white photo of their cake.
What a fun card to make and I'm really happy with it. Especially because it's going to a friend that I know will truly appreciate it.

Your background looks like some beautiful Provocraft dp I used to have. I think the softness of the white crayon looks good. But I bet black crayon with purple would look fab, especially for Halloween.
Yep, much easier to get the bow lying right when you do it that way ;-). Unless you have ribbon superpowers, and I sure don't.

A beautiful and personal anniversary card that your friends are sure to treasure. It's great that you saved the thank you all these years to now incorporate it into a card for milepost day for them.
