Today's Mixability Challenge is an inspiration with beautiful colors and pumpkins. I decided that it would be fun for Dina's challenge today to use her Falliday Fest tutorial for a mason jar topper with the inspiration. I had already prepped my cross-stitch fabric with 2 coats of Gesso and used my Nestabilities circles for the camvas and template. Somehow my circle was too small in the end. Will have to reread for the next try. I ended up cutting an extra canvas and glued that over the felt then the colored piece. I stamped with Timber Brown Stazon and was glad to be using the MISTI to stamp an extra time or two for better coverage. I colored with colored pencils and blended with a blender pen. I had a wood leaf for an accent but it was an ugly lime green so I painted over it with Pumpkin then after drying added some Terra Cotta paint. I used a Bronze Sharpie to go over the vein lines. I die cut 4 acorns in Kraft and stamped with the lines from Gorgeous Grunge for the cross hatched top and then cut two for that layer. I stamped a bit of spatter on the body of the acorn and sponged the edges after gluing it together. I cut 3 sentiments and glued them onto a piece of burlap. I had intended to hang this too, but I decided to glue it to the jar instead. This also fits in today's Free for All challenge to add fiber. I've got fabric, burlap and twine.

Very pretty jar with the burlap as well as the pretty topper. Are those peanut butter kisses...Mary Jane? I love those and have a few bags or those (among other candies) for the trick or treaters...and myself.

Oh yummy, yummy!!!! I love this!! The burlap is gorgeous and I like the way you've put the sentiment on it. Those candies are delish and so appropriate - your whole jar looks great!! :>)
