This is for the Featured Stamper and the Color Challenge. Our Featured Stamper Sharon/Shendrian has a beautiful gallery and more than one card caught my eye. I finally selected this one: May Daffodil by shendrian at Splitcoaststampers
Daffodils are my favorite flower. Sharon's pretty card reminded me of a daffodil stamp set from Gina K Designs. The Challenge Colors fit in nicely, too. The stamp I used is tall so I die-cut only a portion of it, changing the panel to a circle instead of a square. I liked how Sharon used polka-dot paper with a pretty edge cut at the top. I used striped paper & different punch; and then I added color behind it to highlight the cut out design. I like how Sharon colored a darker color on her daffodils for dimension. Sticking with the challenge colors, I used a little Fresh Fig on my daffodils and stamped some speckles. I moved my sentiment down on a punched label and stamped a little flourish with Wild Wasabi. I don't use ribbon that much anymore, but this card seemed to call for it. Terrific colors. Beautiful inspiration. Thanks Sharon! Thank you for looking.

Oh Diane, this is so gorgeous my friend! I have admired this Gina K stamp set since it came out, but I was not sure I could color such a large image. How creative you are to just highlight a portion of this stamp and color it up so beautifully! Now, I know I will be springing for this stamp set. Thank you for the fabulous inspiration and for the enabling. Your card is truly stunning! ~Karen.

How beautiful your card is with the softly colored daffodils and sweet ribbon and bow. I love the added speckles and the pretty design paper too. Nicely done with all the challenges, and thank you for your case of my card - it's gorgeous!
