This is one of the items I did for pammyrn's teacher gift swap. It is a magnetic mini clipboard I made using some clips from the Dollar Tree. the paper is from Ben Franklin. I did poly shrink for the words, and then did a square knot for the trim.

These clips were 6 for $1 at the Dollar Tree. I cut very heavy cardboard into the size that looked best with them. Covered with paper, hot glued the clip on, faster that way! You could also use CE. I put the knot on the clip to hide a magnet. I was intending a pen to go with these but did not find the right size in the right color.
Remember to prepunch the poly shrink with the 1/4" punch. I had to drill one with the dremel to use it. Too small to hold!!

I got one of these and they are sooooooooooo cute... great job!!!!! I can't wait to "case" your idea.
