My mother requested a set of tile coaster after she saw the ones I made for myself. Her only request was Lighthouses.
This is what I came up with using the "Coast to Coast" set.
I did the "watercolor" technique using permanent colored markers and the StazOn Solevant Cleaner.
Not to bad, for the first time doing this technique. I used a white gel pen for the white color, as I don't have the white ink pad.
I also did the bake in the over at 350 for 15 minutes, but still used a clear sealer as well. Love how the ink sets when you use that baking, opposed to just a sealer.

These are beautiful!! I'm sure your mother will love them. Great job on the coloring. I'm not sure what you mean by the tech with the permanent markers and the StazOn cleaner - maybe you could give us a few more details about that, as I would love to do some of these. Thanks!!

These are beautiful! I am not sure about the technique either. I didn't know until recently about baking the tiles. What kind of sealer do you use? I've made tile coasters before but none as nice as these.
