The gospels tell of Jesus' conversation with Peter. Bold, confident Peter saying he will never deny Christ, with Jesus responding - this very day (three times before the rooster crows). I can almost hear Jesus, quietly, almost sadly, saying that to Peter. And then when Peter hears the rooster, how he must have been overcome with emotion, knowing he had indeed denied Christ that night.
The account reminds me of how very important it is not to deny Christ, so I wanted to portray that in my Bible Journaling.

Such a great image to use for these pages. I can so feel empathy for Peter. You know that was heart wrenching and troubled him forever. We are so weak. Wonderful page. Hugz

An interesting thought came to me while reading all these comments - after all this Peter picked himself back up and went on with the work Jesus meant for him to do.
Thanks for this beautiful message!
