At my art class this week one of my friends asked if I could do a Christmas card with an Australian theme for a friend of her's living in London.
At that point I hadn't done the sketch challenge for the week so thought I would combine the two.
I'm quite happy with the card but have realized that it is probably too bulky to send overseas so back to the drawing board. I will post to my blog any other cards I make for overseas posting in the next couple of days.
This card is pretty straight forward however I mucked up the coloring on the candy cane hence the three D effect I mounted a second Koala over the first with some craft foam.
I also put some SU Crystal Effects on his nose and the candy cane, the greeting has also been double stamped second time with Versa Mark and then clear embossed, just because I can and I love doing it. lol
Cheers
Marg

Fabulous! Love the cute koala hugging the candy cane. The crystal effects on the cane and nose is fantastic. Your "mucking up" resulted in this great 3-D effect! Way to save the card! Love the metallic red & green paper. Wonderful use of the sketch. Great card. I'm sure you'll figure out a card just as fabulous for International mailing. TFS

Oh, this is adorable!! Love the coloring on the koala bear with that fun sentiment and the dimension looks fabulous (but I understand about the bulk and cost of mailing internationally for sure) :-) The sketch worked perfectly for this design as well- tfs!!
