Mary is our hostess this week in the Color Challenge, and she is using one of the new In Colors from Stampin' Up. Flirty Flamingo is a bright, yet pastel, coral color. She has paired it with Mint Macaron and Night of Navy. The dessert option is to use a die cut on your card.
You know how sometimes you make an impulse purchase, put the item away and then forget you have it? Me, too! I came across this pretty bird cage die from Poppy Stamps in my stash. I have no recollection of when I bought this, or why, but this week was the perfect opportunity to give it some love!
I punched flowers and die cut the bird cage, bird and leaves. Sponged the flowers and leaves and coated the flowers with a Spica clear glitter pen. All are mounted on a piece of Irresistibly Floral cardstock that I sponged with Flirty Flamingo ink. Topped the cage with a little bow, put a pearl in the center of each flower, and covered the cage with Wink of Stella. Mounted it all on a Night of Navy card base.

This is so beautiful! It's embarrassing to realize you've purchased something and then forget all about it even though it was a must have that instant in time. Worse yet is when you purchase more than once (like I do) and then get frustrated when you realize how you already had it stashed away. Glad you found your die. It's lovely with the white lattice die on that coral/peach/pink.

I love the plant life you have in your bird cage!! One of my neighbors has a huge bird cage in her yard with plants and flowers inside of it and it looks so creative - just like your card. :>)
