This is my card for the alpha challenge letter W post #1888. Part 2 was to look out the window & pick the first thing you see, especially if it begins with W. Sadly, I have many weeds in my yard. I also have birds, so wings were appropriate. I used a watercolor technique. Since the stems didn't reach down into the jars, I drew extensions with a black Pitt pen.

Such pretty wildflowers. Did you know they keep longer on a vase than most domesticated flowers? That little baby bird is so cute. That's what I see through my kitchen window too. Weeds, wildflowers and perennials.

Oh I like this! Love the jars! Great coloring, especially on the glass. My friend uses that chick on the back of all her cards as her mark because the people at her work call her chicken because her last name looks as though it would be pronounced chicken

Wonderful. Love the wildflowers in the jars. The sentiment is a perfect tie-in and works well for letter W, too. I like how you colored everything. Nice matting, too. What a cute bird at the top. He adds a touch of whimsy. Well done for Letter W. TFS
