This card is also for PTI's Make-It-Monday Challenge #250 for a masked bg. It is a one layer card. I taped off the border and masked out the bloom and leaves and then created the bg. After that was done, I came back in and watercolored the hydrangea and leaves with reinkers and an aqua brush.

This is magnificent, Sallie! SO many skills involved in this besides your incredible watercoloring. I've masked a border and keeping it square is not all that easy. You also have no seeping! Trying to cut a skewed border is impossible. The shading and highlighting, so beautifully done.

Love how your one layered wonder worked out! Love the "glow" in your BG and how your water droplets leave a water spotted look! Your hydrangeas and leaves look awesome!!

Stunner. I am keeping it for inspiration! Hydrangeas this real looking are not easy-I love that you have the bits of sand tone in there b/c they really do get those spots as they age.
Beautiful bg too. The water drops make me think of being in the garden after a sun shower.

Sallie....this is absolutely stunning. Your watercoloring has always intrigued me. You have the ability to give your art a three dimensional look. Again, stunning!
