Today's technique challenge is to ink up an acrylic block and free-hand erase the some of the ink with doodles, shapes, etc. I made a few tries and did not have very good luck getting good ink coverage. I finally just went with this background, although my erased "grasses" at bottom don't make much of an impact. After making the background, I stamped on the poppies and colored with Distress ink and water.

I like the soft, gentle look of the background. It reminds me of some textured backgrounds that were a favourite way back in the day when I made digital cards instead of stamped ones. I had a little trouble with ink coverage on my first one - so on the second, I turned the block and paper over carefully, and I could see where the ink still hadn't transferred, so I was able to walk my fingers over those parts. But...if my less successful attempt had looked as good as this, I'd have been perfectly happy with it!!

My first try didn't give me much ink coverage either. Then I spritzer the block with water, which made a big mushhy background. Finally a third try worked. I love the background you've created!
