I chose the 2nd sample given for my inspiration and made a background of 1" punched squares of DP, each sponged with vintage photo distress ink.
For the letter P, I have patchwork and peeled paint distress ink. For part 2 of the challenge (paint), I painted my flowers using the technique of watercolor with distress inks. Instead of using ink refills, I just pressed my ink pads on a sheet of clear packaging material & picked up the ink with my water brush. When I added the sentiment, it covered part of the leaf. I didn't like the way that looked, so I just cut a new leaf and glued it over the top, which I like much better.

Such a beautiful card! I love how you did the patchwork for the background and using the Distress Inks really makes for a nice touch! The sentiment is just perfect!

Ah Melody this is beautiful. That patchwork background is done so well, with the sponged edges. What a lot of work, but well worth the effort as it makes the square look puffy. Those double blue poppies are gorgeous! You have done an amazing job with this challenge.

Perfection! Love the patchwork background. The painting on your flowers is awesome. They look beautiful on the patchwork. Very nice sentiment, too. Great job with Letter P and the double challenge. TFS
