My stock of Scripture cards is low, so I made another card for Lisa's shabby chic WT challenge, combining it with the current ODBD Recipe challenge. I'm more or less on a buying freeze just now, but took advantage of their 8th anniversary shipping discount to get a couple of sets.
Image stamped on white card with Versafine Black, sponged with Vintage Photo, Forest Moss and Wild Honey, then a little water sprinkled over it. It's layered onto a scalloped oval cut from some old BG paper, and then onto a green Bazzill oval, with piercing on the scallops and gold Stickles in between each one. I used a Spellbinders border die and Bazzill for the bottom part, dry embossing after cutting, then sponging with Forest Moss, and then with a little gold ink and gold EP.
The top layer is BoBunny paper, edges sponged, stitched all round. I embossed with TE's Weathered ef, and again added a little gold embossing.
The flowers are HFC, stamped on scraps, and paired with a Cheery Lynn flourish. To finish, I added pearl centres to the flowers and some Dew Drops.
O - ovals
D - Dew Drops
B - Border die
D - dry embossing and distress inks.

Very wonderful color pallet on this one Sabrina, it almost reminds me of a Tuscan color pallet. Love the flowers and leaves and all the great die cuts you used and finishing off with the stitching is perfect. Thank you for playing in the Shabby chic challenge and creating another great card!

What a FABULOUS card - so much to admire on this, starting with how you did your BG pieces with the dry embossing and a bit of EP in spots! Love the look you got from that - and the stitching!!
Your Scripture is SO comforting and the 3 colors you used to sponge it with, just echo the BG papers beautifully! How cool to use your leftover scraps of the embossed papers to punch your flowers with - gives them such character!! Love this!!
