This card was underway for PTI's Make-It-Monday "Color Isolation" by Ashley Cannon Newell. It involves faintly stamping the bg with the same stamps that are used in the focal point....only the focal point is colored. You will have to look closely to see this.
I decided to use the colors of today's Color Challenge for the palette. The flower was stamped and heat embossed with white....then watercolored with an aqua brush and reinkers. The leaves were stamped normally and then watercolored.

Gorgeous, Sallie - I thought these colors would work well with watercoloring too ! I love that look of white embossing with watercolor and your background technique adds so much interest.

Tha stamp is gorgeous all on its own, but four watercolor takes it to another dimension! I really like that background technique - the subtle image repeated at random looks fantastic. Another favorite, Sallie!

Wow, your colored bloom with the white embossing just pops off the page and looks lovely against your beautifully watercolored leaves. Its a nice contrast to your subtle background. Very lovely!

I noticed your background before I read your description. It's subtle and that caught my attention. What really caught my eye was the leaves! WOW, the shades of green are just beautiful as well as the no line look! The blossom, another feast for the eyes! Thanks for sharing your amazing work!

Love that subtle background - I've never tried that. Your main flower is beautiful - I like the contrast of the flower being stamped in white but the leaf being green all the way through.
