I want to start out by apologizing to anyone out there who is expecting better than this. Don't know why I'm even uploading this...except that I mentioned it to Susie (Australia) and I feel I should carry through. THIS is a fluke. Don't remember even buying these little guys. I've been going through all my unmounted rubber and trying to figure out what I want to do with it. I looked at these little whatevers and instantly bonded with them. I was like a woman possessed. I know I had to work with them. First I had to deal with their eyes. I was not in love with those eyes. On the stamp they actually branch off the tops of their heads. Tried working with that...tried frothy eyelashes, eye shadow, highrise googly eyes. Didn't get any good vibes from any of that. Okay...off with their eyes! Stuck with the googly eyes and brought them down to eye level, so to speak. But then there were those original equipment eyes still dangling up above their heads. (Can things "dangle" UP?) What to do? What to do? Didn't want to deal with trying to ink it up and keeping the ink on the bodies and off the eye parts. With me, that won't happen. Camouflage! How? Hats? No! Susie (Australia) has that great talent, not me. I could call her in as a consultant. Better yet have her design some for me and fly them in. No, I had to get control of this obsession with this silly stamp. It was time to sit back, take a deep breath, have a cup of tea and get real.
In the back of my mind something was niggling at me. Then I remembered that years ago I had bought an abundant assortment of feathers on sale. It was an overkill action used to make a single card. Now they may actually get some use. I dragged them out of the depths of my closet. Most of the bags were still sealed. Have you ever opened a bag of feathers? Then you know they don't want to live in there. They want to escape! For some reason it brought to mind an old "I Love Lucy" TV show. I was amazed to see I had some polka dotted colored feathers. How Festive! Grabbed three of them from the plethora of feathers laying around on the floor, on the walls...the chair...the table. Perfect! Glued those little suckers between the googly eyes of my three little whatevers and I was DONE....except that I felt I should have some sort of sentiment to explain Them. I realized not everyone would understand what message my little whatevers were trying to express. Had a few ideas in mind but felt I was overworking it. Ended up with "Life is Good". And it is! Thanks for looking, and listening. Sorry to interrupt your day with this foolishness.

Oh Miss Ellen, I did not want your story to end. You should write a book!!! Now about this amazingly weirdo and wonderful card...I love every inch of it - my face is hurting from smiling and laughing so much. The eye surgery you performed worked a treat and their feathered headdress are brilliant. The toe nail polish is pure class my friend!!! Needless to say this magical creation is pinned and faved.

These ""whatevers" are hysterical! I don't know which I enjoyed more, your back story, or these little trolls. Thanks for the giggles. You can't possibly consider their demise - they are just too cute. A+ for originality and ingenuity!

Silly woman, you are a hoot. You and your stories. I swear I've never met anyone like you who can tell a story. Having gone through all that, despite your chagrin, you crafted a darling, albeit precious, card. I love uncolored images especially those with feathers. Those are certainly some beautiful feathers, too. I love your crazy little card. Now go back into your craft studio and bring us more of cards like this.

Oh my, Miss Ellen, you are an absolute hoot and so adorable! I LOVED just reading about your adventures with these "whatevers" or (as Priscilla aptly calls them trolls). I am laughing and grinning from ear to ear as I imagined your time with this stamp and especially the feathers! LOL! What a riot, but what an absolute delight! I LOVE the card, and you definitely need to keep this stamp. I'm with Susie about your writing a book. You are right up there with telling a story, my sweet friend! You delight me no end! Sending hugs and still giggling! Warm hugs! xoxo
