well, I've worked my way to 1/4 of the challenges for VSN Here Comes The Sun. I am doing them in order this time...oh my paper (Angie) told us about making Sunshine Boxes. What a fun idea! And I am thinking they much be a lot like care packages I recall in my university days...just exactly WHO wouldn't be delighted to open their mailbox and find something from home or a friend...
I am going new WaVe today though...the flat gift card, cheater way....I made a tag and will tape the gift card to the back for dear son, &D. His favorite color has always been Yellow...what a happy color, right?
My sunshine rays are courtesy Tim Holt's wonderfully funky style. Both as a stencil and an embossing folder. I sprayed using 3 colors. Shopped my stash for at least 7 year old stickers. Still cool, though. I had picked up the block letters at Goodwill recently, a hideous shade of blue. I embossed the 'D' with VersaMark and used a Cobalt ep to change the hideous into an eye-pleasing shade. The trims are also from the stash. Of course I had forgotten about them...fun in the sun...
I am glad I shopped my stash, cause that gift card is gonna cost me, smile. Thanks Angie...this was a joy to create.

This is such a fun way to send a gift card! I also have that TH stencil, and will likely use it this weekend. I have never thought to use it vertically...very cool!

This is such a great idea - loved all the elements you added. I'm sure your son will get a huge kick out of it!

Oh gosh - I never thought that the stencil and ef could be paired together - off to experiment since I have them both. Cool (warm, hot even!!) tag, with wonderful ribbons.
Oh! What a super fun idea! I love how you shopped your stash for this! Love those bright rays of sun! The sticker is soo cool and perfect match for the sun rays! Thanks for playing along with my challenge!
