I was just messing around last night while DH was watching a DVD on my computer - and I guess with a die and the gilding flakes, this works for Jeanne's MIX challenge yesterday...
Cut the rose from scraps of green (MME) and red papers. Worked out the placement, and used the smaller solid stamp from Work of Art to stamp forest moss where the leaves would be, and then filled in the rest of the card with the larger solid stamp in Tumbled Glass. Added the spatter from Gorgeous Grunge with Vintage Photo.
I stuck the rose down, leaving the leaves free, and filled it in with the red. Burnished in some red glitter and also added Stickles. Stamped and embossed the sentiment, and then used PVA glue to add the gilding flakes round the edge and in a few spots on the card too.

Red roses and gold are such an elegant combination, and they look fantastic on your card. The blue swirls in the bg are the perfect compliment to the beautiful flower. I was enjoying the beauty of a real red rose on my Mr. Lincoln rose tree earlier today. Yours is every bit as pretty.

Beautiful work. I love that rose and am sorry I didn't order it when I placed my $100 order. I hope it comes back in the new catalogue. It looks like you had a lot of fun creating this piece.

Not sure how this one got missed - probably on a busy baby sitting day with Daria, but I have to tell you, I love the way you cut the rose twice and inlaid the pieces for the petals - I know how much work that is - from experience!!! Using the Work of Art to create the BG for your leaves, and then the gilding for your border - wow, what a MIX card! Breath-taking!
