To say I'm a book lover would be an understatement! I love the look, the feel and even the smell of old books but modern fiction is not for me! I don't generally read anything published after 1955! LOL As a kid I couldn't get enough Donna Parker, Judy Bolton and especially Nancy Drew!!! I wanted to be her! This card is a copy of one of her adventures circa 1937 and as everyone knows any stirring adventure tale always started with 'It was a dark and stormy night! LOL We are having a dandy storm here so with my coffee in my hand and my dear friend Nancy by my side I am set to enjoy the weather! Now...what chicanery is a-foot to-day???

Mrs. Noofy, so good to see you in the gallery tonight. Before clicking on your photo, the first thing that came to mind was nancy drew. I think I have all her books. I wont tell you how many years ago I received them, but I'm with you about older books. Great idea to take a photo of one of your favorite books and placing your sentiment on top. Love this creativity.

I Agree with Anne...Very Creative!!! Love the way you laid out the words, and used two different fonts. Very Effective! And the white contrast is Perfect. I too was a great fan of Nancy Drew and many of the other mystery books for young girls. Several years before I discovered ND I buried myself within the pages of The Bobbsey Twins. Warm memories. Thanks for stirring them up! Great card!

Very cool! I also read all the Nancy Drew mysteries when I was a girl! There were many a night with a flashlight under the covers so that I could discover what happened next!

Wonderful cover and I enjoyed reading comments crafters left you. I especially loved Kathy LeDonne's about being under the covers with a flashlight trying to find out what happened next. I remember my son starting out a paper he was writing once with, 'it was a dark and stormy night'.
