Hello, Here is my color challenge, tea potters card. We were to add something uplifting for a sentiment and use butterflies. The colors are Olive, Watermelon and Lagoon, I did add a wee bit of yellow.
I used two different shaped dies (one is oval) to do a reverse out of the box, (this one is IN the box!) It is actually a bit harder to do but it looks cool, I think anyway. I stamp and colored in the olive and watermelon colors then I traced the die (on the outside for this reverse technique) then I cut out a hole in the center so that my sissors had room to move and cut out my image up to the outside line. Slip the die under the image but on the outside of the rest of the white panel and ran it through. now the hole is cut but my image is quite safe. Next I cut a lagoon oval a bit smaller than my other die and glued it to the inside. Now comes the foam tape. Set aside and stamp the sentiment, (the sentiment is down one level). Stick the sentiment to the frame with the foam tape and then glue to the Watermellon card base. The seam binding was dyed to match (pretty close anyway) and then I stamped, colored and die cut the butterflies. I only had one but my DH said to have more so... Oh I sponged ink on the outside of the white panel...forgot that part! The butterflies have Stickles and the forward facing flower has Prills for a center.
Thanks for looking!

WOW Robin, your coloring blew me away on this one- SO vibrant and well done! It's just a feast for the eyes! I will admit that although I can't ever tie a bow and photograph it like you do, it's your coloring on this that caught my eye! It's just GORGEOUS!
