Hello! My husband was out backpacking today so I squeezed in a little extra art time and played along with MIX157 and SC577.
Dina's fun challenge was to paint with coffee! Mmmmm my stamp room smelled wonderful.
I stamped images from Red Rubber Designs "I heart you" and "So Splattered" in Versafine ink then painted with coffee on watercolor paper. I used two different strengths of coffee, the dark for outlining the heart and for stamping with coffee, the lighter for the backgrounds. I took a glass and stamped in the coffee and then on the DP for a little extra coffee goodness! I distressed the edges with a distressor and found that Tea Dye Distress ink was the perfect match to added some colored distressing on the edges of the papers. Thanks so much Dina for this tasty challenge!

I like it a latte! Love the dangling heart. I like your take on the sketch. The blue and brown together look great. I'm lovin' your spots of coffee and the impression with the cup. Great card! TFS

This is so very cool! I'm wondering if it smells as good as it looks! Great take on the sketch, too. I love the heart border an dangly heart!

Fun ways to use coffee, Angela!!! I feel like making another one after seeing yours. Love the layers, the effects you achieved, and the whole overall look and feel of your card. Wonderfully done. Hugz

Oh my gosh, Angie! you sure took the coffee painting technique and created on fantastic card. Like all the details you've added , along with the hanging heart. It is so well balanced. I loved the smell too, especially when using the heat tool. Fav'd

This is awesome, Angela. I've never used coffee on my designs but you make me want to give it a try. I bet your craft room did smell great. I love the smell of coffee...just can't bear the taste.
