Yahoo it is tickle a Teapotter time of the month and Sabrina has started the new year off with a fun theme. I took my inspiration from the teapot.
I had a blessed childhood, growing up in a little country town. I was quite the tomboy although I never went into battle without my favourite doll, Alice. Dad built us a cubby house next to the wood stack in the backyard. We called it our fort, the boys took turns at being Cowboys and Indians but I was always Annie Oakley, although I did wear my Mickey Mouse ears.
Sabrina thank you for the memories. I am so grateful for the many dreams that have come true.
Now about the card....I am still away, hence the little house stamps getting another outing along with Brushos. I used yellow Brusho for the teapot but I couldn't get a good depth of colour so I added some orange powder. I hand drew the teapot on a scrap of paper to make a template, once the watercolour paper was dry, I traced the teapot, cut it out and then used some distress ink around the edges and roughly used a black micron pen.
The little houses are coloured with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. Stamped with Memento ink, coloured then put back into MISTI and re-stamped, this time using Versafine. Fussy cat and adhered to background.
The background was made with Brushos and a heap of water, I just tilt with paper from side to side until I am happy with the coverage. Blue distress ink was added to the top half.
Thank you for looking and thank you once again Sabrina for our first tickle of the year and for being our Tickle organiser.

Yummy colors on this tickle card! You sure do wonders away from home and all your craft stuff. That teapot does really look like the one in Sabrina's picture. I'm crossing my fingers....maybe this will make its way to the frozen north ;)
