Finally, here is my card for this week's party. We were asked to help round up dogs running loose. My poor pup got so pooped he had to sit down and let his tongue hang out! Our cards are going to dog lover Susan, who is recovering from multiple surgeries.
This was created from a card kit from Barb's 3D Designs that I downloaded quite a while ago from Aimee Asher Boutique. Sadly, she's no longer in business.
I printed the card front and all six layers of the pup, and proceeded to fussy cut all the layers (boo!). Due to mailing constraints, I chose not to use dimensional adhesive between the layers, but since it was printed on medium weight card stock there is still some dimension going on.
After I added all the layers to the pup, I "sewed" the buttons with embroidery floss and glazed his nose and tongue with Glazon. I touched his wet nose with a paper towel for texture, and added Glossy accents to his eyes. The card front is attached to the base with Simply Defined tape. I hope he brings Susan a smile; I think he's pretty darned cute!
As always, thanks for looking!

How cute is this? All digital? I have to learn what you did! LOVE the buttons! Don't you love that if you don't have it, you can create it? Love the background paper and yes, I have TONS of questions! He looks 3-D too!

JodyL, this is adorable. I'm a dog lover and I know this would be the perfect card to receive in the mail. Love your coloring and your perseverance with cutting this little guy 6 times! I know it was tedious work, but the end result is just as sweet as can be.

Aw, Jody, this is so stinking cute - I admire your patience in the fussy cutting, and coloring (the shading is stupendous!) and it sure paid off big time, as it definitely LOOKS like it is popped up! The background paper is perfect and the corner buttons really give your card a spectacular finish!
